Transparency information current as of 19 August 2016.

As a blogger, I work with tourism agencies, small business owners, brands and other organizations to promote places, experiences, products and businesses.

In some cases I am compensated for my work either through a payment or by receiving goods and/or services in kind. To remain transparent, in the post for which I was compensated I add a disclosure at the end. On social media you will see the term #sponsored or #ad.

As someone who is passionate about travel and local business, my posts always come with a ‘Katie guarantee”. I believe in honesty and do not promote anything that I don’t support, believe in, or wouldn’t recommend to my own friends and family. My readers (you guys) don’t deserve another blogger out there just writing anything to make a quick dollar, so I aim to respect you at all times through maintaining integrity in my business partnerships.

All opinions expressed on this blog are my own unless otherwise stated.

This website is intended as a guide for you to gain inspiration for your own adventures. As a blogger I can inspire you to get outside and explore, but I can’t decide it the specific destination or adventure is suitable for you personally. Any travel, lifestyle, health or outdoor advice is intended as a guide only. Any changes you choose to implement in your own life should be made in consultation with professionals.

All trips to the outdoors need to be made with careful consideration of the weather conditions and your own abilities. I don’t know what is best for you so using your own common sense and best judgement can save you from a potentially dangerous situation. If in doubt, don’t go out.

We are very lucky to be able to enjoy some beautiful areas in the great outdoors but it is up to us to preserve them for future generations. Always treat the areas you visit with respect – pick up any trash you see, stick to the trails and don’t harass the wildlife.
